What's the difference between Pro and Premium?

When do my monthly quotas reset?

We show a friendly upgrade dialog with how much you've used and how much more you'd get on Pro or Premium. You can keep reading, opening, and exporting existing work — only new generations for that feature are paused until your quota resets or you upgrade.

No. Every tier — Free, Pro, and Premium — exports clean, unwatermarked files. Free users get the same pixel-perfect PDFs, slides, and charts as paying users; the only difference is the monthly quota on how many you can generate.

How does payment work?

Billing runs through Stripe. We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, and others Stripe supports in your region). Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. There are no contracts or lock-ins. Cancel from your profile page or via the Stripe-hosted billing portal. You keep full access until the end of your current billing period; after that you're moved to the Free plan automatically and your data is preserved.

Can I upgrade or downgrade mid-cycle?

Yes. Plan changes apply immediately with prorated billing through Stripe — you pay only the difference for the remainder of the current period. We show the exact preview amount before you confirm.

Where can I find my invoices and receipts?

Your profile page has an Invoice history panel listing every past charge with amount, status, and a Download PDF link. Stripe also emails a receipt after every successful payment.

What happens if my payment fails?

Stripe automatically retries failed charges for up to a week. During that time your subscription is in a past-due state and you keep access. We'll email you when the retry succeeds or if action is needed. You can update your card at any time via the Manage billing button in your profile.

Is my research data private?

Yes. Your content is never used to train the underlying AI models. All data is encrypted in transit over TLS 1.3 and at rest in our managed Neon Postgres database. You can export or delete your account and its data at any time from your profile.

Does Acadly AI store my uploaded PDFs?

Uploaded documents are stored only as long as you keep the chat thread. Deleting a chat thread removes the associated document from our database. Generated papers, slides, and charts are stored under your account until you delete them.

Who can see my work?

Only you. Nothing you create is public by default. Our team cannot access your content without your explicit permission (e.g. during a support investigation you've authorized).

Every AI request routes through a multi-provider orchestrator — Gemini first with a 7-model fallback chain, then Groq as a second provider with a 5-model chain. If one model is rate-limited or overloaded, we transparently try the next. If every provider is temporarily unavailable, you see a brief "AI is temporarily busy" toast and the retry succeeds within a minute.

Not yet. A Google Workspace add-on is in development. Today you can draft in Acadly AI and export to DOCX to continue editing in Docs or Word.

Yes. The signup and login pages both offer Google sign-in alongside email and password. Your Google account links to the same Acadly user — no duplicate accounts.
